Tell YOUR State Senator: Florida's Retirees deserve an annual 3% Cost of Living Adjustment!

Tens of thousands of public service retirees in Florida do not benefit from the Florida Retirement System's 3% annual Cost of Living Allowance. Without an annual cost-of-living adjustment (COLA), the purchasing power of a retiree's pension decreases by 60% over 20 years. Florida's public service workers deserve to retire with dignity and enjoy the benefits that they earned. Is that how we want to treat our retired law enforcement officers, nurses, and all the unsung public service workers who kept our city, county, and state government working when they retire after their years of dedicated public service? Every qualified FRS recipient deserves an annual 3% Cost of Living Adjustment! Please vote to pass SB 242 to provide dignity to those retirees who worked so hard for so many years for our great state of Florida!

Tell your Representatives: Cosponsor the Public Service Freedom to Negotiate Act

We know that our communities are safer, healthier and stronger when public service workers – people like our nurses, paramedics, 911 operators, teachers and sanitation workers – have the freedom to join a union and speak up together for their communities. But in 25 states they lack the freedom to negotiate for better pay, benefits and working conditions.
