AFSCME Florida Statement on Recertification Win in DeFuniak Springs

Today, the hardworking men and women in DeFuniak Springs voted to recertify their voice on the job following a mail-ballot election. They voted 72% in favor of retaining their seat at the table to speak up for the needs of the citizens they serve. 

AFSCME Florida Administrator James Spears, Jr. released the following statement: 

“In cities big and small working families are standing up for their futures. They are taking action in their communities and fighting for what is right at work. We are proud of the hard work and dedication these members have shown on the job and in this vote – it is proof that they are committed to keeping the American Dream alive for not just for today but for years to come.”
