AFSCME Florida Statement on Recertification Win at University of Central Florida

Today the hardworking men and women represented of AFSCME Local 3345 voted 62% in favor of recertifying their union. The students and instructional staff at the University of Central Florida will continue to benefit from these workers having a voice in the services they provide.  

AFSCME Florida Administrator James Spears, Jr. released the following statement: 

“The University of Central Florida is one of Florida’s premier colleges because of the employees that make it happen. When workers have a union contract they can ensure they have what is needed to do the best jobs possible. That is why we are excited for today’s victory – we know our members will continue to play their role in keeping UCF moving forward.”
